Activity booking

Our activities are intended to introduce participants to a new sport in a safe, controlled, enjoyable manner.

Independent Adventure Limited, trading as Talkin Adventures, will perform regular checks and maintenance to ensure that all of our equipment is safe to use. Our instructing team have received the appropriate level of training to deliver each activity, they are First Aid trained and have an enhanced DBS check. You will be provided with suitable safety equipment for the duration of your activity, and informed of any hazards that we are aware of. All activities are comprehensively risk assessed.

  1. All persons taking part in the activity must complete a “declaration of fitness to participate”.
  2. All participants must attend a safety briefing on the day, and follow the instructions of our team.
  3. Adventure activities are dangerous and can result in Death and/or injury. You accept the risks involved and are responsible for your/or your children’s own actions and/or involvement.
  4. Safety equipment such as buoyancy aids and arm guards must be worn at all times during the session.
  5. Please show respect to other Tarn users, including boats, swimmers and anglers.
  6. Please act in a safe and appropriate manner at all times during the session. A charge may be made for any damage or loss of equipment caused by inappropriate behaviour.
  7. Please inform us in advance, if you or any of your group are likely to benefit from additional support from our team or adaptation of the session. E.g. Due to a disability or impairment.
  8. You must disclose any injuries and/or medical conditions prior to beginning your activity session.
  9. We may ask for an adult to be present for some sessions involving children and young people under 16 years old.

Payment Terms

Online payments are taken by an independent system, which protects your details. If you wish to arrange payment using an alternative method, please contact us directly. Refunds may be issued by request until 7 days prior to your event.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation, please notify us as soon as possible. If we determine that the conditions are unsuitable for us to continue with an activity, we will arrange an alternative date or full refund. All cancellations may be rescheduled at our discretion. If you cancel within & including 7 days prior to an event, you will lose your deposit and any direct costs that have been incurred by us. If you cancel on the day of an event, you remain liable for the full payment.
