Activity & Event packages for corporate team building events, hen & stag parties, school activity days, school holidays and family groups
Boat hire will return from 29th March 2024 until October, weekends and school holidays. We do not take bookings for boat hire. (11-4pm).
If the weather is bad we may be closed or offer a limited service.

ARCHERY
Channel your inner Robin Hood or Katniss Everdeen, our archery sessions combine professional coaching with games and competitions. Available for group bookings or for individuals on our archery beginner days.
CANOEING
Paddle our Canadian style canoes around Talkin Tarn as we guide you through basic techniques and introduce games and challenges to improve your speed, coordination and confdence surrounded by stunning views.
KAYAKING
Our sit-on-top kayaks provide a superb introduction to kayaking for beginners, go kayaking on Talkin Tarn with our British Canoeing qualifed instructors who will guide you through the learning process at your own pace.
ORIENTEERING
Our bespoke orienteering course will be set to suit your group at your venue or ours. Find the checkpoints in the woodlands & paths at Talkin Tarn Country Park; can your team complete our unique orienteering challenge?
RAFT BUILDING
The sense of pride and satisfaction as your team build their own raft and then enjoy its maiden voyage will be incredible. This is a great teamwork exercise. Our experienced instructors will introduce simple knots and key design elements.
TREASURE CHEST
The ultimate test of communication, teamwork and leadership. The only way to open our treasure chest of prizes before the other teams is to work together and prove your skill whilst improving group communication & problem solving.
TEAM BUILDING
Choose a single team building activity or create the ideal combination of challenges for your perfect event. All of our activities can be customised to meet your desired objectives, tell us your goals and we will suggest a range of options.
STAND UP PADDLE BOARD
Try Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) at Talkin Tarn. Book individual spaces on open sessions, or for private events.
MEDIEVAL TREBUCHET BUILDING
Travel back in time to construct this giant siege weapon. Work as a team to construct the machine and score points as you fling projectiles at the castle keep. Fine tune your aim and bring down the castle.
AXE THROWING
Have a fab time throwing axes at your venue! The mobile unit can be brought right to your door.
An over 18s activity that is perfect entertainment for a stag or hen do or event add-on in Cumbria.
CHAIN REACTION
Our take on the games of domino rally and mouse trap, put your team to the test as they need to work together to design and build an elaborate system, balancing teamwork and inter-team cooperation with competition.
